The 2006 Denver Camp Fair and Outdoors Expa was a hit. Held at Invesco Field, Home of the Denver Broncos, the FRPA introduced hundreds of Colorado youth to all their fun toys.

With the upcoming FRPA youth camps this summer, our athletes explained technique, gear, safety and showed video from the worlds best.

With more than 250 summer camp flyers and business cards gone after only 5 hours, many smiles were witnessed as these kids ranging from 5 years old to the mid-teens tried our two-man canoes and kayaks. There was a focus on introducing young girls and women to our canoes with the new focus on the development of women in canoes by 2016 as requested by the IOC.

It is the goal of the FRPA to increase our participation in all paddlesports through out Colorado. Whether it be cruising the scenic mountain lakes or feeling the rushing water down a mountain side stream, our members will share their stories and smiles with everyone they come across because of these positive experiences with the FRPA.

We are looking forward to increasing our club population in the near future with all of the excited people we have met today.

A special thanks goes to Avid 4 Adventure, REI and James Beckwourth Outdoor Education Center for their kindness and interest in a future partnership in seeing youth smile. With these partners, we look forward to motivating children together.

With our many interested camp goers it is imperitive to register your child today. Cmap spots going fast. We will only add one additional section to our youth beginner camps.
