The Front Range Paddling Association headed off to Washington, DC over the Thanksgiving break in order to participate in the first of a series of Olympic Development Camps.
Members of FRPA which included Nic Borst and Chris Wiegand in C2, Adam Estroff - K1 and Nick "Fuzzy" Chanin- K1 began the week in for the camp by running a series of the most famed Eastern rivers. Some of the rivers were lower Yough, New River and the Potomac river at Harpers Ferry and Great Falls.
After a good portion of a week was spent river running, the FRPA camp merged with many of the finest young paddlers in the US as well as current and former Olympians and Olympic coaches.
The Front Range Paddling Association not only showed that they were up to the challenge of competing with the best athletes in the country, but turned heads with their huge rate of improvement, potential and sportsmanship.
The Front Range Paddling Association now looks forward to a long winter and spring of exciting and challenging races.
The FRPA athletes show tremendous potential for this upcoming 2005 season. Please take some time to enjoy our team photo album and video.
