Welcome to our online travel and race calendar. Here you will find most information about the travels of our kids.

Still a work in progress as the race dates are created.

February

10-20: Texas Whitewater Championships/ Sr Trial Qualifier- New Braunfels, TX

The crew departs for Austin, Texas for our annual racing and training camp. The Texas Whitewater Championships and the US Southwestern Sr Slalom Team trials will be held on the 18-19th in New Braunfels.

The crew returns to Denver on the 20th of February.

March

11th :2nd Annual Denver Challenge.  DCANCELLED

This race is a combined wildwater, freestyle and slalom race held at our 20th street flatwater course. 

  • Slalom- Expect safe drifting water and gates set to challenge every level of paddler.
  • Wildwater- A 1.5 mile sprint from 23rd street to our 20th Street Course on Class 2+ water
  • Freestyle- An easy fun class 2 wave below the slalom course. Expect lots of spinning.

April

8th: Denver Flatwater #2.- 20th Street Course

This race is a combined wildwater, freestyle and slalom race held at our     20th street flatwater course. This race will have more water due to snow melt than last months.

  • Slalom- Expect safe fast water and gates set to challenge every level of paddler.
  • Wildwater- A 1.5 mile sprint from 23rd street to our 20th Street Course on Class 3 water
  • Freestyle- An easy fun class 2+ wave below the slalom course. Expect lots of cartwheels.

15-16th:  CSM Spring Icebreaker- Golden

Fun race that includes Slalom, Wildwater, Boatercross, Kayak Polo, freestyle and the trash collection race.

College and high school teams from across the region participate in this 5 man team competition. Many Schools such as Cu, Univ of Wyoming and high school teams have 3 teams participating.

15th-24th: USA Canoe/Kayak Team Sr Team Trials - South Bend, In

  • Qualified Athletes Only

6-7: Colorado High School Cup #2 - Carbondale, Co- Colorado Rocky Mountain School.

  • All colorado high school athletes and open athletes welcome. Slalom, Wildwater and Freestyle disciplines.
  • Depart on 5/5 and return pm on 5/7 to Denver

13-14   USA Whitewater Slalom Junior Team Trials- Wausau, WI

  • Depart Denver on 5/8 returning on 5/15
  • All advanced Slalom Athletes
  • Top athletes after two days represent US at international Races

19-20  Colorado High School Cup Championships- Golden, Co

  • Disciplines of Wildwater, Slalom and Freestyle
  • Qualifier for Junior Olympics in Chiliwack, BC

27- June 3  Canadian Junior National Team Trials- Calgary, Alberta

  • By invitation only ****
  • Depart on 5/24 and return on 5/4

2-4: Clear Creek Whitewater Festival- Golden, Co

  • Events of Slalom, Extreme Downriver, Freestyle, Boatercross
  • Professional, Intermediate and Novice classes available

15-18: FibArk Whitewater Festival/ US Wildwater National Championships- Salida, Co

  • Events of Slalom, Extreme Downriver, Freestyle, Boatercross
  • Professional, Intermediate and Novice classes available
  • All members welcome

19-24: FRPA Into to Kayak Camp

  • All comers kayak camp specializing in introductory and intermediate Kayak Camp
  • Learn to roll, kayak and the fundamentals of Canoe/Kayak control
  • FRPA youth Mentors will be present to introduce the 5 Olympic Ideals and assist in daily lessons

25- July 8: FRPA High Performance Whitewater Racing Camp

  • High Intensity Training Sessions with youth athletes from across North America
  • 3 training sessions daily (2 water based and 1 running/cals) and class room sessions including sports psychology, Olympic Ideals, goal planning and group discussions
