The FRPA athletes and coaches would like to thank Eric (1996 Olympian, 2000 World Cup Champion & 2004 Olympic Coach) and Rebecca Giddens (2004 Olympic Silver Medalist and 2002 World Champion) for their time and kindness while visiting the Front Range. It was an honor for the kids in having the opportunity to work with two of the finest people in Whitewater Slalom.

Rebecca and Eric came from the Southern California sun to the snow of the Rocky Mountains. All bundled up on the shore they smiled and directed the kids to technical moves on the Golden Whitewater Course. The kids danced through tight off-sets and at times looked like a bear trapped in a rabbit cage. Regardless of the difficulty with the technique, Rebecca and Eric tried to taylor their coaching to each kids personal learning style and the kids always came through with great results due to their unique team work style of coaching.

It was wonderful to see such a dynamic couple work from one another in the manner that Eric and Rebecca had.

The team presented Eric and Rebecca with the FRPA Team Quilt. Thanks to the Thiesen Family for making this beautiful quilt provided to the Giddens to forever remember their friends in Colorado.

Thank you Rebecca and Eric!
