With the recent request by the International Olympic Committee to even gender events within Canoe and Kayak Racing at the ICF level, it is the time to look at all of the countries participating within the ICF.

We need a major collaboration between all nations to better the numbers in our sport as well attract new nations to canoe/kayak sport.

This development should not start at each Association Directors level but rather within local clubs in each country for all disciplines that start exposing all of our young Olympic Hopefuls.

Regardless of paddlesport discipline we can all brainstorm our common problems.

Understand that this is only to throw around ideas that promote greater numbers of youth in each of our countries and an attempt to  also create a full women canoes class within the ICF.

Together we can grow to become a strong sport that thrives on communication. This greater communication will lead to results that we could not have imagined. Things such as  better turnouts at events,  more sponsor interest and accessability to disadvantaged youth from lower socio-economics.
